Overtime Pay!

My back is so sore. I went in to work today to help clean out a bunch of old filing cabinets and safes in a building that is going to be remodeled. It wasn't hard work, but I stood for most of the day, and standing on concrete all day does not do good things to my back. We had to take out all of the old files, remove any paperclips or metal fasteners (except staples) from the documents, tear off any metal fasteners on folders, and put them all in boxes to destroy. There were also tons of old magnetic media that had to be gone through and boxed up. Today was the fourth day they've done this, and they said they're still probably going to do it one more day. It's not that fun, but it's overtime pay. I worked 7.5 hours today, and hopefully I'll be able to work the next time they do it. I still need to pay for my stupid brakes on my car.

Tomorrow I'm going to help my friend Stefanie unload all her stuff into her new house. I'm so jealous...I want my own place. I think I'm going to start looking in January or February. My current lease runs out at the end of April, so I'd like to have my own place by then. I'm thinking the only thing I can afford right now is a townhome, which isn't so bad. I don't know if I'm really ready to have to worry about a roof, yard, etc. right now. I just hope I can find a decent one in this area, I really like the southwest part of Littleton.

I think I'm going to go veg on the couch and let my back rest. And maybe take a nice hot bath. And drink some pepperminty hot chocolate. Mmmm.....
